Dance is at the heart of all things Footlights, read about the different genres we have on offer.

Our class timetable is designed to allow students to attend multiple genres in one evening of dance allowing them the time in class to reach their full potential.

Dance

Ballet

Footlights Ballet classes do not follow an examination syllabus. Members work on classic technique and exercises, which greatly helps them in their other dance styles. We also stage a full ballet performance each year at Christmas which is prepared for in these classes. Pre-pointe and pointe classes are on offer for those already experienced with the discipline or who are invited by their teacher to progress.

PBT

Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) is an innovative body-conditioning and strengthening program. One of the important elements used in the PBT method is muscle memory which helps to improve students' understanding of core stability, weight placement and alignment. Each exercise in the PBT program has been developed with care and guidance with a team of physiotherapists.
